Indianer T-Shirt

Ich hatte mir nach längerer Zeit erst die Ottobre Woman und dann auch die Ottobre Kids Spring gekauft. Meine Tochter (jetzt 6 Jahre) hat sich das Heft angeschaut und sich sofort in das Ringelshirt mit dem Indianerkopf verliebt. Und sie wollte es gerne zu ihrem Geburtstag haben.

Da ich weder wußte, wo ich so schnell den Stoff und die Zeit dazu hernehmen sollte, habe ich ein schönes T-Shirt und Diamond-Tex von Viva Decor gekauft. Den Indianerkopf habe ich auf 300% im Copyshop vergrößert,  auf Schablonen-Plastik abgepaust und nachdem das mit dem Cutter nicht so gut geklappt hat, mit der Nagelschere ausgeschnitten.

Der Stoff sollte vor dem Bemalen gewaschen werden, die Schablone mit Klebestreifen fixieren und dann kann es los gehen. Die Farbe ist eher eine Paste, die recht schnell trocknet. Ein bißchen ist der Glitzer unter die Schablone geraten (aber im großen und ganzen bin ich zufrieden). Die Schablone soll dann auch gleich abgezogen werden.

Bei Caro von Draussen nur Kännchen gibt es eine Beschreibung, wie man die Vorlagen auch auf Freezer Paper drucken und dann weiterverarbeiten kann. Da das Motiv noch auf andere Shirts soll, habe ich mich für die Schablonen-Folie entschieden. Jetzt bin ich mal gespannt, wie viel Glitzer nach der ersten Wäsche noch auf dem Shirt ist.

After quite a long time I bought the Ottobre woman and the Ottobre kids spring. My daughter (now 6 years old) looked through the issue and felt in love with striped shirt with the red indian head. And it was on her wishlist for her birthday.

I didn’t know where to get the fabric and the time to sew a shirt and paint the head. So I bought a t-shirt and Diamond-Tex fabric paint from Viva Decor. The pattern of the head was printed in the magazine and I enlarged it to 300% at the copyshop, traced it on stencil-plastic, tried to cut it with a cutter and ended up cutting with nail scissors.

Pre-wash the shirt before you start painting, fix the stencil with adhesive tape and then you can start. The paint is more a paste and it is drying quite quickly. A bit of the glitter went under the stencil, but I’m confident how it worked out. You should remove the stencil after you finished painting.

Caro had a tutorial how you could print the pattern on a sheet of freezer paper and work with this. I will use the motive more often so I decided to used the stencil plastic. Now I’m curious how much of the glitter will remain on the shirt after the first time in the washing machine.
